Once the process is complete, users can download the details such as Gender, DOB, address and photograph on the device itself. Users with mAadhaar need not to carry the hard copy Aadhaar card. This can be considered as one more step towards digital India.
mAadhar also allows users to unlock or lock the their biometric details. The app says “Once resident enavles Biometric Locking System their biometric remains locked till the Aadhar user unlocks it or disable the locking system. This feature will be useful for those who worry about their biometrics usage in mobile sim cards and other services.
In case if you don’t have your mobile number registered with your Aadhaar, visit the nearest enrolment centre or mobile update end point. You can visit any meeseva centre to get more information on how to register your mobile number.
mAadhaar is a good step to let users have official digital Aadhar on the device. However it’s still in beta stage, more to expect. You can join the beta programme by signing up in play store.
